"But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts." - 1 Thessalonians 2:4. Today's episode is a long time coming, and with my role model and friend Kelsey Day (soon to be Bath!). It was inspired by an amazing message she gave this past year at Refuge Women's Conference. People pleasing and comparison can be extremely debilitating to anyone and especially to those who follow Jesus. Kelsey gives examples of how this has impacted her own life and how after hitting rock bottom, the Lord showed her what was wrong with her heart. We have a candid conversation about digging yourself out of these places, making sure you don't fall back in and how when you truly know the Lord and trust what He says, you can find so much freedom. We talk about how you are never enough and will never be enough, but that’s why Jesus came. You don’t need to be enough, because you never will be. There is freedom in that!
