Description

Alecia Eugene founded Urban Advocates & Achievers (UAA) after a tumultuous 5-year stint serving as the first African American woman elected as School Board Trustee for Twin Rivers Unified School District.

During this rewarding and tumultuous journey, Alecia experienced discrimination, harassment and threats while advocating for black and brown students. She witnessed, first-hand how our children were placed in the School-to-Prison Pipeline in greater proportion compared to other students.

She didn’t stop advocating for our students to receive a fair and equitable education, and that’s when UAA was born.

UAA provides students and families with a holistic and personalized approach that uplifts both the student and their family in their pursuit of academic achievement, excellence, and educational equity.

Hear how UAA can help you prepare for the upcoming school year, and the many programs they offer, including getting children involved in STEM/STEAM.
