This week, Bishop Rodgers teaches from 2 Peter 1:10-11 on "Confirming Your Calling." During Peter's time, believers were in danger (as today) of turning to the doctrine of false teachers. These false teachers were teaching believers to live an immoral life with consequences. Peter contradicted this teaching, explaining Christians must match their calling and election with Holy living. This means being spiritually productive. There are (3) dimensions of Love: (1) Love we have for God and His people; (2) Love for our neighbor; and (3) Love for those in the world. Our faith should not be idle. As believers, we must be living our life to please God while we are here on earth. The calling is the effect and proof of God's election.
