This week, Bishop Rodgers teaches from Acts 7:51-53 on the dangers of holy consecration without spiritual conversion. Stephen was a spirit-filled man but was not limited to serving tables. He won the lost and performed miracles. The way the Jewish leaders treated Stephen was similar to how they treated Jesus. Even Stephen's face showed the glory of God, which revealed he was a servant of God. Stephen accused his hearers of being a product of their parentage "stiff-neck, meaning unbending stubbornness in injustice and unholy causes. The term "uncircumcised heart" is religious activities with no corresponding internal spiritual reality. This can be boasting of church attendance, baptism or large ministries, but their hearts have not been touched, changed or converted by God. Resisting the Holy Spirit is disobedience and leads to rebellion against God. We pray as you listen to this powerful message, they Holy Spirit will convict you of any areas in your heart where you have not allow the Lord to have His way. The Lord wants relationship and not rituals.
