Today, Bishop teaches from John 15:6-7 on how "Disconnecting Causes Decrease." The word "abide" means to "remain or stay around." "Remaining" is evidence that salvation has already taken place. The fruit or evidence of salvation is the continuance in service to Christ and His teaching. True believers obey God's commands and willing submit to His Word. They are committed to God's Word and devoted to His will. This results in the believers prayers being answered. Failure to remain rooted in the Lord results in complete removal from the plant, and that branch will wither and die. If believers continued to stay rooted in Christ, they will grow up spiritually. Majority of people who leave the faith is because they can't stand the pressures of life. We need to remember or tribulation, distress, persecution or famine can separate us from the love of God. If we truly love Him, we will continue to remain in Christ and do His will. Not because of obligation, but because of how much we love Him.
