Bishop P. O. Rodgers teaches from Philippians 1:3-7 on how God is committed to joy. Apostle Paul was writing about joy when he was in prison and in chains. Psalms 42 and 43 depicts how a man in distress or in depression looks like. It depicts a picture of sorrow, sadness, loneliness, alienation, and separation adds to a depressed state or state of despair. "Deep calls to deep" means blow follows blow; however, if we have joy on the inside, it will show on the outside. Our hope in God should put a smile on our face. The smile does not mean the depression or circumstance is not real, but it means our God is greater than our situation or circumstance. During this season, many believers experience depression, but remember the joy of the Lord is our strength. Have a safe and bless week.
