Today, Bishop continues the series on "God is Committed to Our Joy" from Philippians 1:3-7. In spite of Apostle Paul's, physical situation of being jailed, he still found joy with the Philippian church. The Corinth church was plagued by internal strife, Ephesus church was plagued by false teachers, Colosse church was turning away from Christ to heresy and the Thessalonica was entertaining rumors about Paul. Paul teaches us joy rises above the rolling waves of circumstances. It keeps us on a even keel no matter how happy or sad we might feel about our situation. Joy reflects a vertical perspective centering on God. As believers, we realize true joy is only found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Have a safe and joyful week and remember God is still in charge.
