Bishop Rodgers teaches, this week, from Romans 12:1-2 on "Rethinking My Service". In this passage, Paul moves from a doctrinal discussion to a practical discussion. This means serving God in our everyday lives outside of rituals. He teaches us to offer "our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God". This action is free and voluntary, our worship. We are to devote ourselves to God for His purpose. Bishop defines the terms "holy," "acceptable," and "reasonable." Since we are the temple of God, we must remember every act is an act of service to God. We pray as you start out the new year, you will begin to rethink how you serve God, in every aspect of your life. If you are not saved, then it is a great time for you to come to know the Lord, so you too can serve Him and do His will.
