Today, Bishop Rodgers continues the "Stop Series" by teaching on not grieving the Holy Spirit from Ephesians 4:30. The word grieve means "to afflict with sorrow; to make sad or sorrowful." A more common meaning is to "treat others so as to cause grief." It makes the Holy Spirit sad when we know what to do but fail to do it. Because the Holy Spirit controls and guides speech, praise, prophecy, and tongues, we offend the Holy Spirit when we misuse the speaking gifts. As we continue to battle with our sinful nature, we should continue to live for Christ each day. We are not perfect, but we must live better today, than we did yesterday. We has believers are God's people and sealed with a mark of ownership. As believers, we should choose to do the Word and lead a disciplined live, because of our love for God and His Son Jesus. We pray this message will cause you to pause when dealing with other believers. Let's not grieve the Holy Spirit. May the favor of God be upon you and your family. Have a safe and blessed week. Remember, we are praying for you.
