This week, Bishop Rodgers teaches from Luke 1:78 & 79 on "The Dayspring." Christ is the Morning Light, the Rising Sun. God is the Producer/Planner and Jesus is the plan's Directing Agent. Christ came to give us the light of the gospel revelations, the light of spiritual comfort & salvation and to purchase peace. There are two things salvation consist of: (1) forgiveness of what we have done amiss; and (2) direction to do better for the time to come. Christ is the Dayspring (Anatole). The gospel brings light . The "knowledge of salvation" is not only objective, but inward & subjective. Forgiveness is also a principal component of the expression of God's tender mercy. God is the One who makes the Dayspring dawn upon us. We pray as you listen to this message, you will gain a deeper understanding of the "Dayspring" and the importance of His birth as we celebrate Christmas.
