Description

This week, Bishop Rodgers teaches from John 21:1-14 on "The Fix for Failing Fishermen." Fishermen are courageous and dedicated workers. They are not quitters. In this story, the fishermen did not catch anything. This is a microcosm of the church toiling amidst a restless world. We are to be constantly fishing for men, no matter how dark or cold the night. Failure is the most creative phenomenon of life. No one is immune to failure. Success is often judged on the basis of the visible accomplishment of such things as wealth & security. True success is the inner riches of personal character conformed to God's character. Failure helps us to discard the deteriorating and obsolete and opens us up to new ideas. We pray as you listen to this message, you will gain a deeper understanding of failure. We must have the grace to admit failure and the humility to receive its creative benefits. Have a safe and blessed week.
