Description

This week, Bishop Rodgers teaches from Luke 24:13-27 on "The Incognito Christ." The story is about two disciples traveling to Emmaus. They were discussing the events that happen in Jerusalem concerning the Jesus' death. While they were talking, a stranger (Jesus) came alongside them and joined their conversation. They were depressed and negative in their confusion, they could not make the obvious connection. The incarnate Word of God explained the written Word of God. The real Messiah had to suffer. When we find ourselves hurting and in despair and do not find "That" Scripture that speaks to our condition, it is not because the Bible has failed us. It is because we do not know it well enough. Our "New Life" is reality rooted in the historic resurrection of Jesus. We pray on this Resurrection Sunday, you learn from Jesus better ways to evangelize friends and neighbors by studying the Lord's methods on the road to Emmaus. Have a safe and blessed week.
