Description

This first Sunday in March, Bishop teaches from Romans 13:1-2 on the topic "The Law of Subjection." The secular government is God's servant and it serves His purpose. Out of respect for an institution, Christians are required to show respect for rulers by paying taxes and obeying laws. There are three areas when Christians should resist authority: (1) If it violates a command of God, (2) When asked to do an immortal act, and (3) Believers must never go against their Christian conscience in order to obey the government. Lawlessness is comtempt for authority and all lawlessness is sin. As we enter the Lent season, our attitudes about secular authority and giving to God must change. Be blessed and have a safe week.
