Mic Drop Moments
🎤Heather at (04:10) - The most successful people in the world getting fired was the pivotal moment in their life. So what I’m gonna say to you, if you haven’t been fired, get yourself fired.
🎤Heather at (09:54) - if I wasn’t in the market, in meetings face to face with my team, I wouldn’t get the same response. I started sending out cardboard cutouts of myself only to make them laugh and to make them remember “ Hey, I’m here with you. I might not be in the building today, but I’m here with you in spirit.”
🎤Heather at (11:20) - Show up as yourself. I don’t get caught up in this well so-and-so is not gonna like you then that’s not my person, that's not my job.
🎤Heather at (11:52) - Somewhere there is a room where there is a chair available for you to sit where they are cheering. They are going to be excited to have you there. They are going to say “Turn up your light. Bring your crazy antics. We are your people.” So find your people, show up as you.
🎤Heather at (12:50) - The worst villain that you’re ever going to encounter is the one that lies between your own two ears.
🎤Heather at (14:55) - Take action immediately. I was fired, I distilled the belief and I said “Okay, I need an action step.” Boom! I’m gonna go to social media and I’m gonna post - I have just been fired. If I have ever helped you at all in the past 14 years, I need to hear from you now.
🎤Heather at (15:56) - Never ask people who haven’t been where you are going for directions and that step three.
🎤Heather at (16:55) - The only way to truly extinguish shame is to shine a light on it. The minute you do that, you are not held back by shame anymore. You claim the shame, instead of allowing the shame to claim you.
🎤Mark at (17:25) - So many of us get wrapped in our work identity that we forget about or we fail to be able to recognize who we really are. And who we really are is who we are to the people that matter most to us.
🎤Heather at (20:18) - You could be the most generous person in the world, the nicest person in the world but there is a thing about being taken advantage of. There is a thing called not having boundaries. Putting yourself first and creating boundaries and holding them is a nice thing to do for you.
