Optimal wellness is different for everyone!
When she first started, it was all about helping people change their lives. She was baking paleo foods commercially, as well as working as a teacher and all the usual life stuff. She realised that people needed more than just the recipes and plans - that started her on her NLP and mindset training.
She wanted to teach adults how to handle anxiety!
Katie was always told to 'step out of her comfort zone'.. but it's more like 'expanding your comfort zone'... Step in until you're frightened... then step back and reflect
Breaking it down:
⁃ Support yourself with 4-5 people whose opinion you trust implicitly
⁃ Trust they will tell you their honest opinion
⁃ Have a coach who can push you - they will put it right back to you - who can hear your story or what you're creating
Observe yourself
⁃ get curious about yourself in order to be a great leader for our families or tribes, or communities
⁃ we need to be compassionate with ourselves
Katie has been a Type 1 Diabetic for 33 years - her focus is on getting to optimal health and staying there for as long as possible. She had to have the perfect timing, perfect sugar, perfect health. There was no room for error. Now she's delving into her vulnerability - this perfectionism is no longer serving her!
