Joel Hoekstra is the guitarist for Whitesnake and Trans-Siberian Orchestra who has also worked with the likes of Cher, Night Ranger and many others.
I caught up with Joel at his hotel in Sydney the day before the rescheduled Sydney Scorpions/Whitesnake show which was previously postponed due to Scorpions' Klaus Meine suffering a kidney stone. We spoke a bit about that, song writing with David Coverdale, his mindset working with a large number of established artists over the years, the next Joel Hoekstra's 13 album and lots more.
