@MatteoValles is a Georgia Tech graduate, ultra marathon runner, Top 50 “Most Beautiful Atlantans” by Jezebel, Bachelorette contestant and founder of Grove, a new virtual reality support group community which aims to help Atlantans and beyond “to create, find and join support groups for topics like alcoholism, depression, loss of a loved one, and more.”
We talk about Matteo changing schools every three years of his life until college as his father worked for the FBI and mother for the US State Department. We discuss his mechanical engineering degree, working at Deloitte, leaving after 2 years, being on TV and creating a successful kickstarter campaign for a new digital niche.
He and his brother Domenic created Grove to provide easily accessible treatment from the comfort of your home that’s lead like an AA meeting where all participants are equal and anonymous. He’s moving to Knoxville, TN next month for a business consulting position while he looks to launch his startup in February. They’ve raised over $16,000 for the project.
We cover Matteo’s experience being on the latest Bachelorette season with Hannah Brown, the friends he’s made and opportunities that have later arose. We explore our fitness journeys, the dirty south yoga festival, barefoot running, ultra 26+ marathons, BROGA, Matteo’s 40 person Tuesday workout, future technologies, Elon Musk, the music industry, nutrition, The Game Changers, vegan & paleo diets, Joe Rogan, Aubrey Marcus, recycling, sustainability, art, minimalism, traveling and culture of Korea, Japan, Africa, Spain and South America.
