Prayer isn't a place for us to be good or right. It isn't a place for us to perform or prove our worth. It's a place for us to be honest, present, and known--a place for us to offer ourselves and receive God.
We are joined today by spiritual formation expert Dr. Kyle Strobel, who is the professor of Spiritual Theology at the Institute of Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. Kyle recently wrote a book along with Dr. John Coe, entitled, "Where Prayer Becomes Real: How Honesty with God Transforms Your Soul." This is an incredible book that I spent time reading slowly and intentionally when it was released and it encouraged me deeply in my walk with Jesus.
