When you study the scriptures, you will see that throughout history God changed the names of the people He called. We have Abraham who's name changed from Abram, Sarah who's name changed from Sarai, Jacob who's name changed to Israel, Peter who's name changed from Simon. The names given by God are to lead us to his promises. They give new hope, blessings, new beginnings and above all, they are a prayer for they accompany you throughout your journey to the promise and place a demand on your life to live up to it.
