What do we typically do when we embark on a project? We prepare. But, as Christians, what do we need to do most in that same situation? We need to pray, not because we need prayer, but because we need to be in touch with the Lord who orders our steps, and in the case of Nehemiah, softens a king's heart to the request of his servant because, as Nehemiah 2:8 says, "...for the good hand of my God was upon me." We look more closely at this scripture from in our second sermon from the Nehemiah Sunday series as we're reminded that the good hand of God is still working and wielding for the sake of his children.
