As we near the finish line in our study of Romans, we find Paul continuing to write about missions being so strongly associated with relationships, and one of the relationships that acts as a plumb line for our heart posture is how we feel about the poor. Do we actively engage with those around us who live in poverty (not always apparent in a community of wealth and gated amenities)? Or do we turn a blind eye or blame them for their circumstances? In a world where the disparity grows between the haves and the have-nots, we need this Biblical reminder.
