In life we all need a plus, a minus, and an equal. Whether you are playing a sport, or you're trying to be a more peaceful person, it's important to have someone better than you that helps you grow, that makes you feel dumb and therefore causes you to take action, to improve your life.
You also need to have someone equal, someone who is like you because they are a reflection of who you are, they are a reflection of your character, of your values.
And finally it's important to have someone who you can help, where you can be of servitude. The power of servitude is necessary in your life, because it teaches you how to be humble, it changes your perspective. You are no longer doing it for you, you are doing it for them, to grow together, you could help someone, while also helping yourself.
