Description

Would you like to know some insights on the concept of why people wear ‘MASKS’ in order to survive in this world?

Murray Masarik has been working in this space for 28 years, presenting personal growth workshops and seminars that explore this very topic.

In this episode Murray explains the origins of masks, how they develop from a young age and why we wear them.

We wear masks in order to hide, hide how we’re really feeling which can be really unsupportive and interferes with our authenticity as a person. Murray explains that masks are a way we do life for pure survival as a result of our experiences as a little person and the patterns we create from those experiences.

There are 4 predominant masks and examples of these masks that Murray wore growing up and how he accumulated these as a result of his childhood. You may already be aware of the masks you wear or even relate to a few of the masks Murray speaks about in this episode.

Murray explains that at the Real Workshops, people are supported through a transition of really unbecoming the masks they’re wearing that are not themselves and introducing their authenticity.

You can go through a process of really getting conscious about the specific masks you wear through a range of specific games and exercises and eventually you learn to take the mask off.
