When I reached out and asked my next guest if they would like to come onto the podcast to share their story, they were more than happy to. Although it wasn’t an easy story to share, they knew that if it was going to help even just one person, it was a story worth sharing. Once we started to talk, I quickly learnt that my upbringing and the life I and others have had so far, is one that my guest would have wished for. It is a journey with many twists and turns and a story which shows that we don’t always get to choose the cards that we are dealt in life, but that with self-belief we can find the strength from within to pave the bright future we all deserve. It was such a privilege speaking to someone who has shown immense resilience in times of hardship and I’m forever grateful to this person for sharing such a personal account of their life and its challenges with myself and my listeners, I know this wasn’t easy.
