BACKGROUND: I know Andre via the usual 'everyone in Stellenbosch knows everyone'. I really got to know him 4 years ago through downhill mountain biking. He undertook a journey to Namibia by himself which I have always had much appreciation for. He does a lot of semi extreme activities by himself which is very different from normal people. I admire this. I wanted to talk to him about the mental and spiritual journey in deciding why to go no this journey, how to prepare, what you experience along the way and interesting stories during the trip.
