We have all heard that sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me right? Except that is wrong. Words hold an amazing power over us. Not only in the way we use them with ourselves but also in the way we use them with other people. I think more than anything it is about staying constantly aware of the power you give words. Every. Single. One. The words you tell yourself. The words you use at the water cooler. Stop letting them fly without intention. Words. Do. Hurt.
