Mr. Choc of The World Famous Beat Junkies is featured this week. Choc shares his early beginnings growing up in Bakersfield, California. We cover a lot about the music that influenced Choc to becoming a DJ himself. Eventually leading him to being on-air at Power106FM Los Angeles. Choc also talks about becoming a teacher at Scratch Academy to ultimately opening up his own school with his Beat Junkie family called, Beat Junkie Institute of Sound (@beatjunkieios IG) where students of all ages go to learn the craft of DJ’ing, mixing, and scratching. We also speak about life, family, friends, and the recent loss of his father, Calvin Thurston. Followed by the passing of his close family friend/brother, Byze One. It is a pleasure to feature this exceptionally talented, and yet extremely humble and kind human being. Choc is a rare breed good people and is one of the top reasons DJ’s from all over the world are in the DJ game today.
