The NCAA championship has never caused such debate and kerfluffle as it did with Louisiana State University’s 2023 win. Let’s discuss how privilege has plagued the LSU team's win, like the harsh words used to criticize Angel Reese for doing the same thing her white counterparts have been celebrated for doing. And unfortunately, many Black women aren't just watching this play out they have been on the receiving end of the same experience. We also want to explore how institutions are willing to change their rules. Even the best-meaning people can still be affected by the historical presence of racism and privilege.
