Message: We've all been in a state of pleading, presenting a convincing argument. We serve a strong God who moves in our lives out of faithfulness, which builds trust. Through Jeremiah, God pleads with Israel to recall their relationship with Him. As an example, He points to the nations who defend their gods, yet God's own people reject Him. Israel should grieve their degeneration from the nobleness given to them by God and return to the faithfulness of His Word. The same God pleads for us to see His riches, to understand the uncertainty of this world.
Scripture: Jeremiah 2:9-11 "Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead. For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing. Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit." KJV
