Message: God has loved. Nicodemus was a leader in every way: a Jewish leader, a teacher and wealthy, yet in darkness, understanding the burden of the Law, but missing the spiritual in pursuit of the requirements of righteousness in the Law. He knows God from an earthly perspective and desires to learn the heavenly perspective with Jesus' part in it. We don't know, but can speculate that Nicodemus finally understood the prophecy of the crucifixion of Numbers 21:8-9, the lifting of the bronze snake as a God's provision of life to those who saw it. Let him be an example, for in the final hours, as Jesus, the man whom he'd questioned in John 3:4, hung on the cross, Nicodemus risks everything he's built his life on to show his eternity with God rests on the belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Scripture: Romans 3: 21-24 " But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, as attested by the Law and the Prophets. And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
