Message: Paul exhorts to the church of Philippi; they are a model of following Christ, walking in like-mindedness and obedience. However, they have gotten caught up in names and given it authority over their lives. He reminds us to exalt Jesus Christ above all things, to whom every knee shall bow and the assurance as we to work out our salvation. The work being in God's control through sanctification to bring forth the new man created in Christ. In this we are able to pour into others the joy of our salvation without complaint. Our joy is the favor of God who does not change when circumstances change. We are not of this world, but children of the living God adopted to shine as lights and uphold His Word. Our labor gives honor to the way, the truth and the life that is Jesus Christ.
Scripture: Philippians 2:12 "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." KJV
