She teaches modern European intellectual history at Yale and received her Ph.D from Stanford University in 2001. Her research focuses on the intellectual history of twentieth and twenty-first century Central and Eastern Europe. Her books include The Ukrainian Night: An Intimate History of Revolution, which will be the next book we cover in our book-club!
