We were joined by our very special guest Oleksandra Matviichuk (@avalaina on Twitter) for a special segment of "Understanding Genocide in Ukraine".

Oleksandra Matviichuk is a renowned human rights lawyer who has dedicated her life to protecting democracy and human rights in Ukraine and the OSCE region. Her work is centered around making Ukraine more democratic and ensuring violence against Ukrainian civilians is documented.

She leads the human rights NGO "Center for Civil Liberties", coordinates the activities of the initiative group "Euromaidan SOS", and created the "Tribunal" for Putin.

Awards include:

- Nobel Peace Prize (2022, awarded to the "Center for Civil Liberties" led by Oleksandra Matviichuk)

- Named one of the 25 most influential women in the world by Financial Times (2022)
