On Wednesday April 26 we welcomed Volodymyr Omelyan @V_Omelyan to Mriya Report, Live In Conversation, and he spent a good 2 1/2 hours with our audience for his interview and Q&A.
Since volunteering February 25, 2022 he serves as a Capt. of the Armed Forces Ukraine. After a career in civil and diplomatic service for Ukraine, Volodymyr was the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine between 2016 and 2019, having been elevated from being the deputy a post in which he served since 2014.
From 2012 to 2014 he was a top civil servant in Ukraine's Ministry of Finance. Prior to this he worked at the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Environmental Protection for a period of two years, and had a stint at the embassy of Ukraine in Vienna after an eight year career in the diplomatic service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine from 2000. Born in 1979 in Lviv Omelyan graduated from the University of Lviv in 2000 and the Lviv Polytechnic in 2001. He has a degree in finance, international relations, economics and entrepreneurship.
