In this short today,Vanilla is a highly aromatic spice used in commercial and domestic bakeries as well as industries to produce sweets and cosmetics and is the second most expensive in the world. It can be sold as a pod, extract, or essence. Vanilla pods are derived from the Vanilla orchid, native to the Veracruz region of Mexico. There are three varieties of vanilla pods: planifolia, tahitensis, and pompona. The most common is planifolia, better known as the Bourbon of Madagascar.
