We take a trip to “Alphaville”, Godard’s unique sci-fi noir where the detective Lenny Caution must save a society ruled by an unfeeling machine. We find particularly Godard’s belief in the emancipating power of Art and Love very inspiring and optimistic, despite having some minor problems with the narrative and emotional development of the film which inherently come from his approach.
