We may not think of Austria as being a "big deal" on the world stage today, but when the archduke was assasinated in 1914, it sparked a world war. A mountainous, land-locked country in Central Europe, it's famous for skiing and Red Bull, and being the home of Arnold Schwarzenegger. There's also a town so beautiful that China spent $950 Million to build a replica.
