When Kalyan Chaubey became the President of the All India Football Federation, Indian football stepped into a new era, which demands a plan for a brighter future. AIFF’s Vision 2047 is a roadmap to lead the country into a stable and better position in international football while gradually improving all elements inside the country, including coaching, grassroots, women’s football, and infrastructure.
This vision has three targets to achieve by the 100th anniversary of Indian Independence. First, to be among the top 4 nations in Asia. Second, to become one of the top 3 football leagues in the continent across genders. And third, to produce at least one iconic male and female player with international stardom.
India is also on FIFA’s agenda as chief Infantino said, "What I can assure all our fans in India is that we’re heavily investing in Indian football to make it big. Such a big country needs to have a great football competition and a great football team."
