From Switzerland, Kapil goes to India in 1970, gets initiated by the remarkable Dada Sivananda (later known as Samanvayananda), who demonstrates some of his occult powers on him! He also meets Baba who also did a samadhi demonstration through him, as well leaning about Baba's "death demonstration" which had happened just before Kapil arrived! He and his newly married American wife Karuna, attend their first DMC where Baba introduces the kiirtan dance for the first time. Kapila and Karuna later travel to Perth to become instrumental in starting Perth's Ananda Marga unit late 1972.
