In a direct sales business, ranks act as a ladder for the distributors to upgrade themselves and see where they are. More than titles, a ladder is useful when it can be climbed. Many times the lowermost levels act as beginners. There are four expected to metrics in MLM rank assesment such as Expected-to-Promote (E2P), Expected-to-Time (E2T), Expected-to-Stick (E2S), Expected-to-Yield (E2Y). Expected-to-Promote (E2P) can identify a percentage of a cohort likely to reach the next rank within a set timeframe. Expected-to-Time (E2T) measures the time taken to achieve a rank promotion under practical circumstances. Expected-to-Stick (E2S) measures how many distributors remain in their new rank for how long. Expected-to-Yield (E2Y) measures how much revenue they bring during the time of promotion to ensure promotions are related to meaningful revenue.
