Direct selling industry in America has shown an immense growth over the years. Over 2019–2023, total direct retail sales in the Americas rose modestly overall from roughly US$ 58.7 billion to US$ 62.6 billion. The top 7 direct selling markets in the Americas are United States ($36,660 million), Brazil ($7,962 million), Mexico ($6,874 million ), Canada ($2,352 million), Colombia ($2,312 million), Peru ($2,129 million), Argentina ($1,778 million), Ecuador ($904 million). Among this, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador and Mexico were the top positive performers, whereas Canada, USA, Brazil were the negative performers. 56% consider it easy to start a business. If we take a look at the participation of Americans in direct selling, 44% do freelancing, 43% do online selling, 38% do gig work and 32% do direct selling.
