Alicia was honored to catch up and learn more about dental health with her friend Dr. Elizabeth Powell!
In this week's episode, Elizabeth shares some great tips on how to promote dental health during the Halloween season, as well as in everyday life!
Dr. Elizabeth Powell currently serves as the Clinical Director of Dentistry at a Community Health Center in Boston, MA She has over 10 years of experience working in community-based oral health programs treating underserved populations in both rural and urban settings. Dr. Powell received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. She also holds a Masters in Public Health from The George Washington University. She recently completed a dual residency in Dental Public Health and Pediatric Dentistry at Boston University. Dr. Powell’s commitment to public health dentistry led her to the Boston area where she hopes to continue to be an integral part of the movement to increase access to dental care and improve oral health outcomes. Her interests include teaching dental residents and student externs and partnership development that promotes oral health integration.
