Today I’d like to talk about my mother. It is because today September 17th is her birthday.
She just turned 66 years old today. Actually, I called her yesterday because the date in Japan has changed ahead of Canada.
Let me tell about something about her. She is a tutoring school teacher for almost 20 years and keeping to have her class every Monday and Thursday except on holidays. I really respect that she has a passion to keep her education for such a long time. Originally she wanted to be a teacher in elementary school but her dreams came true in a different way.
She doesn’t have coworkers in her class so I think it is not so easy to keep her motivated by herself but she is doing well. It is amazing, isn’t it? I am still looking for my dream job even now, though.
The other thing, I like that she has various hobbies. A few years ago, she was into Yosakoi dance, on the other year, she attended an Ikebana class, which was a Japanese traditional flower arrangement. Originally she was good at sewing dresses, she was making her clothes so often. Actually, I don’t have many hobbies like her so she is really active as a person and looks very happy. I hope she keeps her hobbies as long as possible.
Anyways, hope she had a happy birthday in Japan,
to wish for longevity
