Season two starts with a BANG as I welcome to the Podcast Yeovil Town Football Club's Matthew Worthington.
Matthew spent his youth career moving along the south coast, starting at Portsmouth FC before moving to boyhood club Southampton and then onto Bournemouth where he stayed for a number of years before heading off to Yeovil Town FC.
After early spells on loan at Yeovil Town, Forest Green in League Two and Eastbourne Borough in the Vanarama South in 2016, Matt now finds himself 2 years into a permanent spell at YTFC where he has now made 88 league appearances for the Glovers.
Within the episode we spoke about his career, I asked him questions about the clubs he has been at, we spoke briefly about the Super League and of course I got him involved in the revamped 10 to finish (which is now 11) at the end of the show!
Matt is an incredibly popular player at Yeovil and a very humble man. It was a pleasure to have him on the podcast and I couldn't of asked for a better person to come on as the first professional footballer to appear on the Pod.
