This week on the Podcast I bring on someone who I have watched grow up!  Aaron Harley, the second of the Harley brothers to have been a guest on the podcast made a perfect guest with his vast grassroots experience within football as a player, coach and referee and his vast experience and knowledge within long distance running.

Aaron played his first competitive football for Montacute youth before moving into mens football at the incredibly young age of 14!  Whilst coping with mens football at that age he also had great success at youth football level with Ilchester Juniors before heading off to Yeovil College and Exeter University.  Aaron made it at the end of his spell at University into the 2nd XI and like many ex Uni students has fond memories of the social life within the sporting envioronment at Uni!

Later in his footballing career he came back to the Yeovil and District leagues playing for Ilchester, and Montacute where at Montacute he was part of the treble winning team of 15/16.  Aaron then went on to play for Peasedown Miners Welfare which is in the county divisions in Somerset before returning back to Ilchester where he is currently.

Aaron is one of the most naturally fit people I know, and this is reflected within his experiences in running where he represented Somerset at English schools between 2006 and 2008! Furthermore Aaron has ran multiple half marathons, an unofficial full marathon and a 50km Ultra marathon, which he said was an unbelievable experience.

It was thoroughly enjoyable to get Aaron on the podcast and interview someone who fully represents what grassroots sports is about and of course another friend and family member who I hold in the highest regard.
