Sam Coombes is one of my longest colleagues, friends and professionally he is now my Powerlifting Coach.
Within Episode 38 there are many conversations covered including Sam's childhood enjoying motorsports, moving through school and having a positive envioronment around him. College Sports and Public services and mine and Sam's experiences working together on Security at ASDA. We conversed over mens football where Sam played for South Petherton, Chard, Ilchester and of course Montacute.
We also spoke about Sam's professional fitness journey within his business personally where he has grown massively since he started back in 2017. His journey involves qualifying as a PT, starting as a self employed fitness professional and then taking on his powerlifting journey in a coaching aspect as well as personally. Sam went on to coach an athlete to a Silver medal at the Powerlifting commonwealth games in 2019 which shows how far he has come.
It was a very enjoyable chat with a man who I have great respect for.
