Description

In this weeks episode I sit down with what only I can call a local sports legend in his own right.
John Shearing has been involved in local football since 1970 as an apprentices goalkeeper for Westlands Helicopters in Yeovil and played for Ilchester, Montacute, Stoke Sub Hamdon and Yeovil Town reserves in his local career.

Since he hung up his boots John has been chairman of the Yeovil and District football league since 2003 to present, has been Deputy chairman of the Somerset FA for 4 years between 2013 and 2017 and has been a life member of the Somerset FA since 1995.  To say he loves the game would be an understatement.

Within the episode we talk about local football, John's playing career and how he sees the game going locally in the future.  It was a pleasure speaking to John, a man who knows so much about the local game and a man with a huge amount of wisdom to share.

I hope you enjoy the episode as much as me.   Enjoy, like, share and subscribe!
