The Hardening Of The Heart

Harden Of Heart Is to resist GOD, in resisting God, when it was so evident he was no match for Him. A hardened heart dulls a person’s ability to perceive and understand. It is the equivalent of spiritual retardation.

Exodus 3 (read)
Exodus 4:21

“And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.”

Exodus 7:1 - 3

“And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land. And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.”

Exodus 8:15

“But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.”

Exodus 10:1 - 2

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him: and that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.

God knows the heart of every man. Israel was disobedient children that compromised God’s way, and because of this, they were in captivity for 400 years.
