The Root of Everything Evil Is PRIDE
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

Pride is Serious
God is opposed to the proud. You don’t want God as your opponent.
James 4:6
"But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes
the proud but gives grace to the humble.””
Pride is Deceptive
The devil does not come up to us with a red flag and tell us we are proud.
Jeremiah 49:16
"The terror you inspire and the pride of your heart have deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks, who occupy the heights of the hill. Though you build your nest as high as the eagle’s, from there
