Shannon's guest this week, Korina Lopez, is an accomplished journalist who has worked for media giants such as USA TODAY and The Washington Post. She is a reporter, critic, online producer, social media strategist and video host. She has covered a number of noteworthy artists, and has earned the title of "pop-culture pundit." In addition to pop culture, Lopez tries to shine a light on cultural and social issues and give a voice to those who can't afford a publicist.
Korina created and produced the USA TODAY music-video franchise, Studio A. She was the co-author of a weekly column, On the Verge, about emerging music artists, and she has spent her entire career reporting about lifestyle and entertainment. Korina holds a Bachelor's of Arts in both English and Eastern Religion from The College of William and Mary and a Masters of Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University.
